Clean water - straight from the mains!

We don’t give you water that tastes fancy...

We just give you water that tastes of water

Mains tap water isn't this bad!

But still, most people have little idea what they are drinking.

In fact, it's so protected with chlorine that for many, that's the very issue!  And it's why you don't taste 'water'.  It’s something you may have missed for years – water which actually tastes of water.  Many people can actually smell the chlorine in tap water...and that’s not nice, is it?  Some turn to buying bottled water, but just ONE bottle of Volvic a day costs you £529 a year [1.5 litre - Tesco].

Sadly, many water drinkers don’t know just what they are drinking!  The Duo from H2Organic filters bacteria, cysts (including giardia and cryptosporidium), common insecticides & herbicides, microplastics, heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, and mercury, and chlorine & monochloramine.  If you’d like the lab tests, just ask.  It’s a premium product made by British company, Doulton – global leaders in water filtration since 1826, and made in Britain (not in China).

The Duo (as the name suggests) has two filter housings.  In Filter 1, you will have the Biotect Ultra filter.  In Filter 2, you will have a choice of fluoride, nitrate, chlorine, or sediment.  The whole set up is installed beneath your kitchen sink and includes a counter-top tap - for £495 inclusive.  If you’re interested, just contact us.  We’ll give you a FULL written explanation for you to read FIRST – we don’t make a ‘sales’ call!

Obviously, the Duo is located beneath your kitchen sink or an adjacent cupboard.  It is very neat and takes up a tiny amount of cupboard space.  A tube will enter on the top left (from your mains water supply) and exit on the top right to a counter-top tap which we supply.

The 'eco' bit!

Buy just ONE bottle of water a day (for a family of three) and that's more than ONE THOUSAND plastic bottles a year!  That's a lot of plastic, and you are probably already aware that means a LOT of microplastics in the environment, never mind that you drink water encased in plastic.  Then there's the cost...and the drudgery of bringing it to your home every week...and the recycling space taken up in your bin.  Isn't it far better to have it on tap right where you need it?  Of course it is - but you want safe drinking water free of nasties.  And that's what H2Organic is.

The bottled water bit

There are no two ways about it, buying bottled water when you could drink it straight from a home tap is just plain insane.  Some believe that bottled water is somehow 'better' than purified tap water.  Well, it isn't!  Have you seen the land that the rain runs through for it to be bottled 'from a spring'?  Bottled water companies tend not to use chlorination, but other forms of 'cleansing'.  In the end, as very many studies have proved, there is little between bottled water and tap water.  So it follows that if you take mains water and purify it, it IS going to be 'better' than bottled water...and so much cheaper.  Our Duo kit works out to just 26p a day if the replacement of the cartridges is annual.

What is best?

The 'best' water is said to be reverse osmosis water - water passed through a filter which is so fine that only H2O can get through.  However, such units (even domestic ones) are expensive, and take up valuable kitchen cupboard space.  Reverse osmosis takes ALL the minerals out of the water, so you have a deficient water system, and you may need to take dietary supplements to put them back into your diet.  Some units backflush, so water is wasted to the drain.  They have to be maintained, and filters have to be replaced, so they are only really sensible for commercial applications - like starting your own bottled water business...so we're back to bottled water again!

If you want safe, clean, on-tap water, then H2Organic is really the only way to go

Please note that terms & conditions apply:

The supplied & fitted price of £495 is only valid for the RG postcode area.  If you are outside of that area, we can supply you a kit for £395 for you to arrange your own installer.

Supplied & fitted:

We would require a cold water supply to be within 500mm of the siting of the kit.

We must be able to isolate your water supply, so please ensure that your mains stop valve is operational.

Your counter-top would need to be drilled through to allow the fitting of the tap, so we cannot fit it in any other material than timber – though you can arrange your own drilled hole if it’s marble or composite.

The duo filter kit obviously requires a small space under the sink or adjacent cupboard.

The supply and fit price of £495 includes the kit and a mains supply pipe, including fittings normally required. Please note that if we have to route a supply (and that involves additional piping and fittings) then you would incur an additional charge – though we would advise you of that charge before the work commenced, and it would be shown on your invoice.

You will be given an invoice prior to the work. Upon completion (usually an hour or so) we expect payment to be made via bank transfer (or cash), and we thank you for your consideration.

Your complete installation is backed by our 5 year workmanship guarantee.* Should any pipe/fitting leak, it would be replaced free of charge during that time, but only if we change your filter and cartridge when appropriate – see below.

The filter and cartridge require changing. Under ‘normal’ use, we would suggest every 12 months. But if you have a large family or the drinking water kit is used a lot, then we would recommend every 6 months. You can do this yourself if you feel competent, though we can do it for you – please ask for a costing. Your regular plumber could also do it. *Please note that if we don’t carry out the changing of the filter and cartridge then our 5 year workmanship guarantee against leakage obviously cannot apply. Only your statutory rights will apply.  A duo filter (double filter) cartridge replacement kit is £95 including postage - meaning a daily cost of just 26p.

Upon request for the installation work, you will be given a quotation in writing. A 14-day cooling off period will apply before we can carry out the install.

We don’t ‘contract out’ your work, it is carried out only by ourselves – qualified and extremely experienced plumbing technicians.

The installation can only be carried out during normal working hours - mornings only, and only weekdays.

We require someone to be at home during the install, which usually takes an hour.

Our installation technicians are public liability insured for £2 million, and you may request proof of that. We are also DBS checked for your safety.

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time.
